As soon as I saw this palette, I was in love! Last year, Mecca released their limited edition palette and I missed out on getting it, but this year I wasn't going to take that chance! Seeing all my fav IGers create their looks with this palette made me want it even more, so last weekend I ventured into my local Mecca store and got her! Even the staff were excited for this palette! Seeing two staff wearing it (with killer looks may I add) helped me run to the checkout!

This palette is a limited edition 15 pan palette, that contains a range of matte and shimmer shades. There are also some marbled shades that truly are stunning! Opening this palette in the sunlight, made me never want to use it haha! But I really wanted to put it to the test. So last week, each day I use this palette. Some of the shades can even be used as cheek and face highlighters which is beautiful! Before we get into the review, lets have a look at the palette and the shades included;

- Precious - rose gold metallic

- Jelly - soft rose matte

- Bon Bon - marbled bronze metallic

- Chewy - dusty rose pink matte

- Rush - maroon metallic

- Soda - marbled blue metallic

- Shortbread - light nude matte

- Taffy - metallic mid toned pink

- Iced - silver metallic

- Sprinkle - marbled light pink metallic

- Scrumptious - rose bronze metallic

- Cake - marbled baby pink metallic

- Syrup - light bronze metallic

- Pop - yellow gold metallic

- Cherry - berry matte

SUAGR QUEEN PALETTE - Mecca Max

So lets get into the test I did on this palette. First off, the shades do swatch beautifully. The metallics are insanely buttery and feel so soft. One touch of them and you get a great amount of pigment. The mattes do take some building to get a good swatch on the skin, but I decided to only show the swatches of the shimmers because I feel like the mattes build differently based on how much you apply. When I was applying them to the eyes, I used a spritzed flat brush as normal, and found that some actually applied better with my finger. The spread was better with my finger over the already applied metallics on my lids, and gave the shades a much bigger pop. One thing I found I really missed in this palette is a brown transition shade. I used the shade SHORTBREAD as my base most days, and dipped into the shades JELLY and CHEWY to add depth. I did miss another matte transition shade to help me use this for more everyday looks that I am comfy with :) I do love me some bronze and brown shades!

RATING:

4 / 5 STARS

I would recommend this palette for sure. Legit the only reason it didnt get a 5 from me was because I needed another matte transition shade, but I am seriously blown away by the metallics and their pigment in this palette. You can create so many great looks using this palette and berry tones are perfect for spring!

WHERE TO BUY:

This baby is only available from Mecca stores, and she is $38AU which is amazingly reasonable for the size of the pans and amount in them. She is a limited edition palette, meaning if you miss out on getting her you may not get her at all!

Thanks for reading my review guys! <3

Love Ash xx
